Family and Consumer Sciences

FHA-HERO: Future Homemakers of America- Home Economics Related Occupations. Various awards can be achieved through section, state, and national competition. There is also the opportunity to complete various national projects in FHA-HERO such as Leaders of Work in Food Services. Two $40,000 scholarships are given annually to the two best entries from around the country. Since the inception of this national project in 1990, RB has had 4 students do a  project and 2 won the $40,000 scholarship to Johnson and Wales University.
 
Business and Technology
Stock Market Competition: Accounting students participate in the "Stock Market Game" sponsored by the Tribune and the Illinois Council on Economic Education. About 300 teams from the Chicago area compete in this event.
 
Automotive Technology
Industrial Arts: Honors Recognition
IDEA State Drafting Competition: Regional takes place in March, and the state takes place in April.
