Dance is a universal means of communication.  The child who dances, practices organizing schematically, visualizing, planning, sequencing, conceptualizing and constructing reality. Children who dance are involved in cooperating, integrating, understanding social interaction, rule-guided behavior, assuming the point of view of others, joyousness, pure beauty, and generosity of feeling.
