Welcome...
to the Internet home of the RBHS
Library and Instructional Technology Department. Our staff is dedicated to
supporting Riverside Brookfield’s students and faculty in the educational
process. Our mission is to help everyone to find, use, and share information in
a wide range of formats – print, video, digital . . We are teachers who
challenge students of all types – high school students, RB faculty and staff,
and adults in the community – to read a book for enjoyment or for information,
to try a new kind of reference search, to learn a new software tool, and to
search for new ways to share their learning.

Library News/Events
Teachers go Shopping!
Teachers are invited to
select books for the library at the LaGrange Borders any day
between September 24 and September 28. Pick out a book that you
think our students would enjoy (check our library catalog first
to see if we already own a copy). Show your school ID, charge
your purchase to our corporate account (Riverside Brookfield
HSD208), and bring both the book and the receipt to us.
Thanks for your partnership with the librarians!
The Bulldog Book Club, for
faculty, staff, and retired employees of RB
meets in the Reference Room of the Library on the 2nd Tuesday
of each month at 3:15 p.m. Come and join us for a lively
discussion of books selected by the members -- what do YOU want
to read and discuss with colleagues?
September 9
- Ann Patchett's Run. (and

We are using a new E-mail
Interface. Click here for some
helpful hints.
Computer Lab Reservation
Guidelines Our
five main computer labs are in high demand, and so must limit
how you can reserve a lab for your class. PLEASE sign up no more
than one month in advance. And reserve no more than three (3)
days in a row, and no more than five (5) days within a 2-week
period. We hope that this new policy will minimize the
frustrations that many of you have expressed.
Video Request Form
To use videos from YouTube, Google Video, etc. in your
classroom, download and complete the attached form, and
then give it to any of the computer lab assistants (Karen Padgen,
Gini Jobin, or Noelle Bajohr). Within a day or two you will have
your videos downloaded from the web and ready to use with your
class.
The Technology Committee
meets quarterly in the Library
Reference Room at 3:15 p.m. Each curricular
department is represented. The committee brings together ideas
and feedback about the current and ideal technological learning
environment in order to plan for the future and solve current
problems. Make sure that your voice is heard! For a list of Tech Committee
members, click here.
