What is Inspiration?
Inspiration is software devoted to "concept mapping".
It can quickly create visually appealing handouts, graphic organizers, and
formal academic outlines.
How do I access Inspiration?
On the RBHS system, you can reach Inspiration by
selected it from the "Student" menu of the Novell Application Launcher.
Why would I use Inspiration in a classroom?
Inspiration is one of the best ways to reach visual
learners - it becomes incredibly easy to organize information graphically.
It also improves upon doing graphic organizers by hand because these
organizers become instantly revisable on the fly - no need to recopy the
entire item.
Doing formal outlines on Inspiration is also superior
to creating outlines on Microsoft Word simply because Word's autoformatting
can make outlines hard to set up. Inspiration is designed specifically for outlining.
