Black Death Webquest

Today we will be researching the Black Death, a plague that devastated Europe in the 14th century.

Your task is to use the resources available to you to answer the following questions about the epidemic:

 
  • How did people in the Middle Ages explain the plague?
  • What was the actual cause of the plague?
  • What were the symptoms of the plague?
  • How did the plague affect Europe? What economic, political, and social changes resulted from the plague?
  • What steps eventually brought the plague under control?

You will receive a handout in class with details of what is expected of you.
