Title: Art Club Sponsor Effective: Immediately, upon Board of Education approval and a completed background check. Reports To: John Passarella
Job Goal: To run a successful art club that provides students with the opportunity to create and explore their ideas through art.
Qualifications: Illinois Certification in the area of Art Instruction.
Key Accountabilities: To introduce students to art and expose them to a variety of materials and styles and to partner with programs within the community to increase student learning opportunities. They will attempt to further the interest of advanced art students, as well. The art club sponsor, will be expected to schedule weekly meetings and work to minimize conflicts with other clubs in the building. They will attempt to maintain a high level of interest, attendance, and participation by developing leadership opportunities for the student members and connect lessons learned through art with the pillars of Character Counts. The sponsor will be expected to purchase all needed art supplies. They will report directly to the Activities Director. Terms of Employment: Annual stipend, reviewed by Activities Director.
