TASK

Your town's local history museum called the school today about a contest they are holding.  They plan to display several "Top Ten" lists of important people, events, and achievements in American history. Our class has been asked to participate in the contest.  There will be prizes awarded for the three best lists that are submitted.  Today you are going to begin creating your "Top 10" list.  Your teacher will tell you which list you are going to create.  Here are the categories:

Choice #1: 10 most significant Americans from 1600-1900 (1st semester)

Choice #2: 10 most significant Americans of the 20th Century (2nd semester)

Choice #3: 10 most significant Events in American History from 1600-1900 (1st)

Choice #4: 10 most significant Events in American History during the 20th Century (2nd)

Choice #5: 10 most significant Achievements in American History from 1600-1900 (1st)

Choice #6: 10 most significant Achievements in American History during the 20th Century (2nd)
